Koh Phangan has no airport of its own, so you can either take a plane to neighbouring Koh Samui or Hua Hin to Koh Phangan, or go to Surat Thani on the mainland and take a bus to a port, and boat. Visit the Phaeng Waterfall– the views from here are simply amazing, and you get to see lots of monkeys and butterflies on the trail.
Go on a snorkelling trip. There are many local dive and snorkelling sites that have colourful fish and are a great introduction to underwater life for children.
