Gentle Parenting Blog Posts: Practical parenting advice for better parent-child relationships
Welcome to my collection of gentle parenting blog posts. Gentle parenting is a form of parenting that tries to work in partnership with children to create a harmonious family environment. Differences between this kind of parenting and conventional parenting include the fact that we try not to use punishments or rewards, we live by principles instead of rules and we make listening to each other a real priority instead of dictating to our kids and them getting frustrated.
*You may be interested to know that I used to work in a facility with teenagers who had been expelled from school, and then expelled from the local pupil referral unit- so by the time they got to me they were prrretty naughty! It was while working here that I learned how to communicate in a completely new way with children and it is what led me to this style of parenting with my own family.*

This page is full of practical advice and tips on working together as a family to become more peaceful, happy and effective- and some humorous posts about the chaos that are our family mishaps- see the bottom of the page!
You might not connect with all the posts but I hope that there will be some nuggets in here that you can find useful; I LOVE hearing from people who try my tips so please do keep in touch and let me know how it goes!
